This movie really brought back so many memories for me. I was a stand up Athlete, I loved playing Basketball the most. My mother died when I was 13, my dad became an alcoholic, and my world was gone. I stopped showering in the gym 'cause I did not want anyone seeing all the bruises on me. My dad tried to commit suicide and all I did was watch. I thought this way the beatings wouldn't happen anymore. I lost all my power to keep going...I went from an A-B student to C&F's. So many emotions. The ending I cried out loud, it brought me to my knees. My husband was in shock that it moved me so deeply, I finally told him what I had suffered thru.
