I installed corsair led strips into my pc, and with the tinted panel, the aluminum cooler (fsp windale 4) and the grey accents on my mobo, it creates this really cool silvery, glossy lighting effect that looks very cool.

Some electric safety concerns about this. You risk shortcircuiting (high risk of frying) your mobo if the tape lets go of the cable ends. Proper connections for 12V systems are dirt cheap, so don't think you save any money risking your expensive motherboard cutting corners with tape that's probably more expensive than the proper connections.

I'm really happy with my computer build, I just built it and I used the MSI b350 tomahawk motherboard, so it has built in red LED on the back. Then my case has two red LED fans, and one normal fan. So, I don't even need to use this tutorial, but it was still pretty good. Thumbs up.

I hope you know that electrical tape doesn't really stop electricity to go through its just a good tape to use for your wire nuts or whatever you use or to keep your wires together so they aren't everywhere have fun when your motherboard shorts out

Can you cut off the molex end and use the same two wires with the SATA?

I mean I guess another way you could do this is just to feed the LED lights through a hole at the back of your PC case... there has to be one somewhere. and then just turn the LEDs on/off with the remote whenever you turn your PC on.
