I love how Tony Hawk rather than getting treated like a traditional celebrity is almost like a cryptid. It’s like nobody ever expects to actually see him. You didn’t meet Tony Hawk, it was a Tony Hawk sighting.

Terry Crews, and now Tony Hawk. Mythical picks some incredible guests, and these two men are both examples of amazing men who never let their fame destroy who they really are inside. Mad respect to Tony Hawk and Terry Crews.

A guy who looked like Tony Hawk showed me how to ollie at a park in St. Louis back in the late 80s. Thanks, Tony.

Josh is slowly returning to his COVID Hercules hair. Nature is healing

I'm so happy Josh mentioned Rodney. Rodney is basically the father of modern skateboarding and simply the creator of it, down to the boards we use today.

Tony Hawk stood right behind me at a Nine Inch Nails show in 2009.

Man, Josh is such a damn good interviewer. Watching Tony be stiff for the first like, 5-10 minutes of 'Ok I'm gonna get asked all the generic Tony Hawk questions' to being fully open, relaxed and laughing at it all is amazing. Josh just has that charisma to get everyone talking and open and willing to show their true selves.

I love his go with the flow mindset. "Works for me", "okay if that's what you think" Like not caring to correct anything seems so peaceful.

I'm not a skater, never picked up a board, but Tony Hawk Pro Skater is such an important game in my life, at a time when I was the most care-free.

Thank you Tony.

I'm not even five minutes into this, but when you brought Logan out as an expert in the specific aspect of the meal he was serving, I just had to tell you that I would love to see more stuff like this. Finding a local business owner who specializes in something that a guest has requested and bringing them on is such a fun idea. I really hope you do it more in the future.

He’s such a humble, great guy—I really feel he doesn’t get enough credit just for being a stand up dude who has a true love for the sport. So glad to have seen this episode!

Okay, so I don’t know if Mythical Kitchen reads comments all that much. But for these last meal episodes I think them showing clips of the people they interview almost as “flashbacks” would be so awesome. Like when he is talking about moments like the trick he pulled off or whatever. If there was a flashback to that whether it be a recording or photo. I would love to see it!

Mythical Kitchen and Josh, you all have become one of the best interview shows out there. Between this, Terry Crews, and many more are just amazing interviews. Also the food and effort you go to get the food and prepared is impressive.

I might be overanalyzing and interepreting too much into it, but it really felt like Tony Hawk was a little closed off in the beginning. Telling the same stories and phrases that he's known for; like he's a a wind-up toy for quotes you can put in an article. Massive props for Josh for breaking the ice and getting through to the guest(s)! Turned out to be another banger.

Years ago he did a reddit AMA and responded to my question. He's a genuine down to earth guy, humble, encouraging, and an inspiration to others.

Tony Hawk had so many influences on my life it's hard to quantify. Not just skating but when he talks about music... Rage Against the Machine getting blasted into my room was my first real introduction into politics and the world as a whole. I remember starting up THPS2 Christmas morning and Guerilla Radio came on and I listened to that song on repeat for days. My parents would have never bought me or let me buy an album with parental advisory. But THPS was the side street to music and culture I had no exposure to. Tony Hawk is forever sealed as my favorite skateboarder and every time I hear him talk I'm reminded of what a good guy he is. Top notch episode and top notch guest. Have not been more excited to see an episode since the Tom Hanks epic meal dropped.

Josh has become one of my most favorite interviewers that's out there. And as someone who is 51 and grew up during the height of the second wave of skating to my life now, Tony Hawk is incomparable.
