My fucking god man! This is amazing! I'm also gonna make my own engine using C++. It's going to be the first language I'll learn...sort of. I already know a little bit of Lua, Java, CSS, and Html.

Would you explain the method you used to get such wonderful looking shadows? There are a heap of methods out there. This one looks like one of the best. Maybe you could give me some reading material or a little source code :)
Maybe I can return the favor.
