Top Gun: Maverick - Ambience & Music

A little different than what I usually work on, but I’m a big fan of the original Top Gun, and when I saw that Hans Zimmer worked on the soundtrack for the new film, I wanted to create a Top Gun ambience video. Enjoy.

In 1986, I was twenty-three and newly married with a lot of future before me. Now, I'm fifty-nine and my body has cashed in all those checks I wrote in my youth trying to support my wife and two sons, who are now twenty-five and thirty-two. I hobbled into the theater, and for 131 minutes, I was temporarily young again. Sadly, realizing that in my liftetime, I have seen the F-14 AND the F-18 come and go somewhat sharpens the point, LOL. This is the best damn movie I've seen in years. No agenda, no hidden messages, an absolute GUILT FREE pleasure. With real effects and little CGI.

Zimmer is a grand master of triggering human emotions with music.
It gave TGM a truly sad but powerful vibe that anybody can resonate with.
Thanks for breaking the garbage streak that Hollywood been feeding us with an amazing masterpiece. Finally, a real movie.

I remember watching TopGun as a kid in VHS when I was 11 years old....as kids we were all pumped up we then played we were fighter pilots for hours on... memories

This movie did credit and honor to the original and first top gun. I was very impressed and loved every moment of being in the theater. Watching on a big screen is as close to the cockpit of a fighter jet as I’ll ever hope to be.

indeed i was kid when i watched this movie. Today i have watched its next part in cinema and i realized why he was super star. A lot of golden memories in this music which cannot be explained in words .God bless America.

i watched the first film after watching top gun maverick. but when we were in the theatre with my family, the music comes in, i felt very calm and excited at the same time. i have been begging ny dad to watch it again because the sounds it made in the theatre were exhilirating to hear. LOVED IIIIT

I am so glad I was born in a generation where manned fighter jets are still a thing.
Soon enough automation is gonna take over the world and there will be a generation that won't appreciate the beauty of manned powered flight.
