Alexis has come over to us from another driving instructor and has a driving test coming up soon. She hasn't had many driving lessons, but she wants to do a mock driving test so that she can see how test ready she is.

Alexis has never driven this car before and doesn't know the area.

This driving test features commentary to help you understand what went right and wrong. The speed and which gear she's driving in are also displayed. The forward bay park exercise is carried out in this driving test.

I find it absolutely disgusting when people sound their horn at learner drivers. Seriously, it’s like they forget they were once in their shoes.

I love how even though she made some serious and dangerous faults, he still points out what she does well throughout. Most wholesome driving instructor ever

Can we just discuss the merc driver when she stalled? I can’t understand how honking at a learner helps anything, so arrogant.

Why can't Chris's voice be an option for a Speaking Assistant

Wow she did absolutely no blind spot checks before moving out. She's clearly not ready.

The gear work is giving me anxiety

I feel like her instructor hasn't taught her anything above 3rd gear.

Looking at the gears when changing is a bad sign of someone not ready. Her instructor needs to be told how to do his job properly

You do a great job Chris always keeping calm and explaining everything when they make faults

I passed my test a few weeks ago after 60+ hours of practice and watching your brilliant videos. I used to watch them the nights before my practice drives, visualise the manoeuvres and all the driving tips you share in my mind and then put them into practice during my practice sessions the following morning. That was my recipe for success. Thank you so much for creating this content. I'm amazed that these videos are free. Do you have a patreon or something? I want to make a donation.

She's going to need another 10-20 hours at least to not only ensure that she can drive proficiently but to also do so safely. She's currently an accident waiting to happen. Her current instructor needs to give their head a serious wobble if they consider her ready for her test. I wish her all the best. Keep at it, Alexis.

Not everyone will agree, but there should be a minimum number of hours (at least 20) you should accumulate before you are sent for a test, regardless of natural skill. You're not riding push bikes, you're moving around 1-2 tons of metal at considerable speed.

I once asked my instructor for a test after about 8-9 lessons and he said something along the lines of "you're getting better but your experience is still quite low and it would be pointless to send you for a test". So I decided to have extra lessons at night. Driving at night is a whole new experience and I'm glad I had those extra lessons, because I passed first time.

6:36 that red merc driver should have known how tense learner drivers can be and yet the driver is horning and pressurising more thus wasting more time.

I’ve passed around April 2018 but I still look at these videos as they helped me while I was a learner.
