It’s the people who get the work in the door that keep on working. You can be the best ME in the world and no one will care because 9/10 times the guy they are using now is great even if you are better. The problem is not being good at what you do. That is a necessity and not an option. The ones who are complacent or never learn usually become lazy ME’s. The problem is getting people in the door to keep doing what you are really good at. Everyone wants to be a mastering engineer but nobody understands that its almost all hard business that involves a little bit of luck and hard work
