“Omen,” a short CG movie by Digic Pictures, inspired by FINAL FANTASY XV.

A rapidly shifting world, enemies that appear endlessly, gradual loss of abilities…
And a madness that brings harm to the beloved fiancée.
This short movie, which can only be described as a nightmare for the struggling Noctis, is a collaboration between FINAL FANTASY XV and Digic Pictures, the world renown 3D animation studio that also took part in the creation of KINGSGLAIVE FINAL FANTASY XV.

This beautiful yet violent motion picture inspired by the world and story of FINAL FANTASY depicts an “omen” for Noctis’ father, King Regis, of a catastrophic future that must be avoided.

FINAL FANTASY XV will be released on November 29, 2016 on PlayStation 4.

I love how instead of braking gently Noctis decides to swerve the car while slamming the brakes who taught this man

Fun fact: this was an alternate timeline, like what we got with the ignis dlc and DotF novel. Another fun fact: Noctis and Luna had more interaction time (as adults) with each other in this than in the entire game.

Ya know, since this is showing us what would happen when Noct is alone, kinda crazy how scary he can be when pushed backed into a corner by himself and lets not forget that he has the GREATSWORD OF THE TALL telling us he went through that dungeon and fought the boss just to get the Royal arm by himself, crazy.

"omen"... king regis's dream. from living a regular life, driving down the road and noctis focusing on what is ahead of him- a typical life- only to be drawn away by his calling, led to the sand dunes of what remained of what was once watery altissia after the hydreaen was slain, to the imperial occupied trains and the imperial occupied quarry. noctis fighting through imperial bases full of battery soldiers, all because of the pryna- which the golden eyes and black fur symbolizes as ardyn leading noctis astray in the form of pryna- ardyn was the one pulling the strings behind all of ffxv, just as he was in this omen in the form of a dog. it foretold luna's death, in which noctis felt heavily responsible. this omen told regis what was coming- and he sent noctis with the crownsguard away from insomnia in an attempt to save him from that premonition, hoping he would be protected. hence, "may the gods forgive me", regis attempted to defy fate and play the hand he was dealt as best he could to protect his son, since he was forced to surrender insomnia anyways. so yes, of course this OMEN isnt what we played. it was a dream the king had before the entire game started.

And the lesson of this trailer is: Keep your eyes on the road!

TRAILER EXPLANATION (no spoilers):
Regis was sending Noctis away to be with Lunafreya from fear that the Niflheim Empire was plotting something. This trailer is the vision (or omen) King Regis experienced, which caused him to decide Noctis's friends should go with him to get the princess. He initiated this before or off screen during the movie (Kingsglaive), which is why he was surprised to see the Princess Lunafreya in the capitol city Insomnia, since she was supposed to rendezvous with Noctis and friends.

I'm interested in seeing who that wolf represents, it appears to be a friend or someone who makes Noctis believe he is a friend or guide that ends up betraying him, but that's pure speculation on my end.

My favorite Final Fantasy. Flaws and all, there is nothing quite like it and it presents it with confidence. I replay this game over and over.

Imagine if instead of it being released as a short CG, they had it open with this and then King Regis waking up, title screen then plays. And then subsequently sending Noctis on a journey. That would be Hella epic.
