That ending made me laugh so hard. But I agree coming from D&D you have chromatic and metallic dragons...the metallic are good and silver especially loved shapeshifting and interacting with humanoids. Golds were extremely wise especially the wyrms and great wyrms...I could not phantom how much wisdom they had after thousands of years of knowledge. Killing a dragon is like killing a piece of history. :(

That last bit aside, I agree. I think dragons should be like Shadow of the Colossus. Enormous, intelligent creatures that've been around for thousands of years are way cooler than just a tough fight.

They're exactly that in the "Dragon Lance" books. Especially the 'metallics' (good/lawful) inclined. Although the chromatics (evil/chaotic) aligned aren't exactly dumb. A silver dragon even broke a dragon 'taboo' by falling in love with a human.
