I'm actually replaying this on Xbox right now. If you can look past the muddy graphics and funky vehicle controls it's still worth playing (great story too) but it's due for a remaster on consoles.

Ive been playing this through with the realism mod you posted. Its legit a more alive environment than what gta v is. The car physics, the cops, Even the diversity of npc characters.

Finished a playthrough of GTA IV (and the DLCs) on Series X yesterday. Started GTA V again and it’s like a breath of fresh air!

It is pretty painful to watch this low-res in mition 😅 but the PS3 version is even worse since release, graphically broken and struggling with lags.

I don't see any flaws with GTA 4 on the 360. I played it on PS3 which runs slightly worse. I guess it's the graphics that are a bit blurred, but TBOGT has no filter with sharper graphics with extra vehicles and weapons. If people are complaining about driving, it's because you suck at driving. Not because of the game. Driving a sports car makes the driving experience easier.

It looked GREAT on 360 when it first came out, but a
cpl years later there was an update and it looked like
shit after. Still does on newer consoles, IDK why, but it
was fantastic on day one

I also been playing GTA 4 on the 360 and thought it looked horrible, there's 2 reasons why we remember it looking better:
1. The game looks way better on component cables, and it also looks better on a CRT vs a LCD.
2. If you played on the PS3 and not the 360, then you remember it looking better because it did look better, the PS3 had better shadows, and more clarity
