This is not new. 30 years ago the Christian Reformed churches went through this and the URC was formed. All the same things were said then. Such as : If homosexuals dont act on their feelings it is not sin, God loves everyone the same, We aren't being loving and tolerant enough. I was in my early 20 s and admittedly naive but hearing the hatred towards anyone who put up a biblical argument was eye opening and very sad. It was all about being more seeker friendly and inclusive.
