If you're wondering why David remained silent and did not punish Amnon, you might want to learn about what he did to Uriah. Watch the story here:

If you ask me, Absolam did a good thing to get revenge. Who in their right mind would not seek revenge for something like that. David's inaction is unfortunately born from guilt. He had Uriah killed so that he could take his wife. Amnon's heinous action mirrors his father's past deed perfectly. David may have been a man after God's own heart but he failed as both a father and a husband. David's failure as a father is due to the fact that his own father, Jesse completely rejected and ignored him and a person who grows up in such an environment will not know the first thing about how to be father to their own children.

I believe it was a curse on the family becauseDavid had killed his faithful soldier because of the lust he had for his soldier’s wife.

Davids refusal to do anything about it is why his children ended up the way they did.

I’m very sad with what happened to Tamar, as I am very sad with women that have to endure abuse because it sexual or physical from any man.

I love the fact that the characters rarely changed as they normally do so in some AI films. Amazing work truly, God bless this work!

Dina’s story is also sad, but pretty sure GOD in his immense mercy restored her. ✨🕊️

This man was after Gods own heart and he is directly in the lineage of Jesus. As disturbing and heart breaking this story is it gives me comfort to know this man was human. Great was his leadership but he was also terrible about a lot.

David made a good king, he unfortunately lacked as a father. Tamar never got justice.

To the narrator. You forgot one important piece of information from the story, which is; it was Amnon's little scroundrel friend (Jonabad) who gave him the idea to pretend to be sick. 2nd Samuel 13:5.

The only one in the family who stood up for the victim and delivered justice became the outcast. The one who sees them for what they are and does not forget injustices becomes the outcast.

At least one man at that time, Absalom, tried to get justice for Tamar. He is a hero

It reminds me of my childhood but I dare never say who violated me in such a way. I was strong to subdue the memories from ever seeping out and to this day I cloud their faces as if I had never been there and never been scared. My heart goes out to all victims and those who hold vengeance and vendetta against the wicked for the innocence. May your soul be blessed and upheld in the last days and forever be blessed abundantly in all places of your life. Sending my love to Tamar and absolem 🙏💕✨

What happen to Tamar was wrong she didn't deserve it, but we hv to remember her Father David what terrible sin he commited. Sin has a way of following generations. Even if we repented we sometime hv to live with the consequences of our actions. David sin follow him throughout his generation.

David’s previous adulterous, murderous sins made him act like a terrible father in this scene. He couldn’t do anything because he himself felt like a hypocrite. Remember he committed an immoral act for desiring Bathsheba, getting her pregnant, lying about it and then having her husband killed, and then taking her as one of her wives. He was punished for that, and it was only just beginning. He strives to be a good king after that and repented, but now he is seeing a similar act of sinfulness within his children. One son defiles his half sister, another son kills the son at fault for it out of vengeance and justice for the sister. For David, as a father, it’s like seeing his own sins reflected in his children. The cycle continues and he could no longer be a fatherly role model and example to his children because of his previous sins. He was no longer a respected father and even after this incident, any chance of solving the qualms of his children proved fruitless. Even if he was forgiven, the consequences of his actions followed him even after the end of his reign. The damage was done. Had he proved himself a more faithful, righteous, honorable man, he would have turned away from Bathsheba, but he didn’t. He went further than just looking at her. Now the consequences of his sins followed him affecting his whole family and kingdom

Romans 12:19

19Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave room for the wrath of God; for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”
