As I have found some coffees from the Kicking Horse Coffee Company (Invermere, BC, Canada) are oily but great tasting, it's essential to clean the grinders regularly. I have found that pre-cooked Minute Rice works best. Good use for a rice with low nutritional value 😊.

I've had two of these. Super loud and static is always a problem. Works great though I'm buying a Breville Bambino Plus espresso machine and am wondering how well the espresso setting is going to work...

Good review... I had and older model with a better bottom container (NO STUPID LID!!) the grinder still works after daily use for 20 years!! The only problem is It won't grind fine as before - its slightly off... but I think I will return the new one. Nothing new is good anymore!

This is so much better than the model I bought online. That one was all plastic, had no timer, no chart about brew times, coarseness etc. The ground coffee container had a gap at the top, which meant that ground coffee spewed out at the top while grinding (bad design flaw), and the contained was VERY hard to pop up. I wrestled with mine for five minutes grasping both sides. No dice. You have to use your fingernails to pry it out one side, then the other. Another design flaw. The instruction manual was also very inadequate. For example, there was no mention of the fact that you CANNOT turn the grind fineness wheel by gripping it and turning, as one would assume you could. You have to grasp the top of the plastic bean hopper and twist that! Counter intuitive and therefore not user friendly. What I bought online March 2023 was clearly OLD STOCK and a model that was poorly designed and had cheap plastic components. Good they have upgraded it, but...dang. Wish I had watched this YouTube before shelling out 60 euros.

Just got this for Christmas and I cannot for the life of me figure out how the red arrow that adjusts grind control moves.. mine stays put and I've been trying to adjust for hours

I had a bad experience with my Bodum Grinder, it had an awful taste, and died after 3 grinds. I think the motor was going out. Granted, it was an amazon returned item someone sold to me, but the fact it was returned means it was within only a few months. While, the grind consistency was excellent, I have a very sour taste in my mouth with Bodum as a result. I have an electric kettle from them, because how can you screw that up, but I doubt I'm going to buy another Bodum grinder again given how much I've heard bad things from it and my experience.
