Jeffrey, thank you for shooting this fantastic setup video! It really captures the essence and enthusiasm of the beginnings of what was to become a fantastic VCFSW show all-around...thank you!!!

I really hope they bring the festival to Austin some year. Didn't have time to deal with Dallas sadly.

Picked a lousy time to have a festival, right smack in the middle of the ARRL field day weekend.

wow, that yamaha MSX2 was bought by ussr government from Japan starting from 1985... until THE END, by some non confirmed sources they paid with steel ingots or other semi raw materials thru intermediate financing scheme assisted by third party country, that because ussr education ministry had no foreign accounts, i wonder what yamaha and japan representatives say about this "impossible" deal... because it's was a time of iron curtain. But anyway they managed to localize those for ussr (similar to al alamiah version for UAE). They were present in ~30% of shools (universities, colleges) throughout of all ussr. I was using those in 1990..94, it's VERY VERY high quality equipment (like A+++), plastic just BEST, schematic rock solid, super reliable components. BEST msx2 incarnation i ever seen. There was some oddity as well, this particular machine has CP/M OS in ROM (use call cpm or _cpm command to run it), it appears that NOBODY knows why it was there and how to use it, there is ram disk with some utilities. Also together with MAIN machine (teacher machine, that was in form of desktop with external keyboard and color monitor) there was CP/M DISK with RED label... that is not MSXDOS. I think this disk was related to those ROM-based CP/Ms on student machines. But because of lack of 3.5inch disks in ussr at the time (they were not imported), all teachers killed those mysterious RED LABELED CP/M disk and put students projects onto it :(... so nobody knows where to take those mysterious disk image now.

Does AJ (Forgotten Machines) have a YouTube channel or website? I only knew him from Knight Rider Historians.
