Hello Everyone,
Welcome to our channel, where we dive into the captivating world of manufacturing and creation. Today, we're taking a closer look at the magical and sparkling substance that adds a touch of glamour to various products and decorations - glitter.

Join us as we unravel the fascinating process of how glitter is made and discover the science behind its shimmering allure. Glitter is a small, decorative material that reflects light to create a sparkling and shimmering effect. It is commonly used in crafts, cosmetics, fashion, and even industrial applications.

Glitter is made from various materials and is available in a wide range of sizes and colors. The primary raw materials used to make glitter are typically a thin, reflective material, often made from plastic, metal, or glass. These materials are chosen for their ability to reflect and refract light, creating the signature sparkle of glitter.

The process of making glitter starts with cutting or shaping the reflective material into tiny, uniform pieces. This can be achieved through various methods, such as cutting, grinding, or precision milling. After the initial shaping, the glitter particles may undergo a coating process to enhance their reflectivity and color. A thin layer of metal or other reflective material is often applied to the surface of the glitter particles to maximize their shimmer. Once coated, the glitter particles are sized and graded to ensure uniformity.

Different sizes of glitter are produced, ranging from ultra-fine to larger particles, to suit various applications and preferences. After sizing and grading, the glitter particles are carefully packaged and distributed for various uses. They can be sold in small containers for crafts, incorporated into cosmetics and fashion products, or even used in industrial applications such as automotive paint.

It's important to note that traditional glitter made from plastic can have environmental implications, as microplastics can end up in the environment. However, there are eco-friendly alternatives available, such as biodegradable glitter made from plant-based materials, which offer a more sustainable option.

Glitter is a dazzling and versatile decorative material that adds a touch of magic to countless products and creations. Through a meticulous process of cutting, shaping, coating, and sizing, glitter is transformed into the shimmering particles that captivate our senses. As we continue to explore innovative and sustainable manufacturing methods, the art of making glitter evolves to meet the demands of a changing world.

I heard that 2024 is the year of the "great glitter shortage" on TikTok and that one single company has the glitter making process on lock down and that they refuse to let anyone see the glitter making process. It's been said that a news reporter who was doing a story about this was refused access to the company so much so that they wouldn't when let her hear the sound of the glitter making process. They didn't give a single source in the 100's of videos on the subject So I came to Google and looked up "how glitter is made" because supposedly you can't even find videos about how it's made. Yet here we are 😂
