Installing a Givi Luggage Rack on a Maxia Top Case

I installed a Givi E159 luggage rack on top of my Maxia V56 top case. Sorry I didn't show the full step by step installation, but it would have involved a couple of hours of cussing, throwing tools, and searching for missing tools.

Givi's instructions kind of suck, I suggest watching more videos online that do show the full process before you give it a try. Basically, you remove the cover, tape on the pattern they sent you, drill holes, put the cover back on, drill holes through it, and then bolt the luggage rack on.

Sounds simple, right? Ha!

I ordered one of these and two of the holes in the rack were stripped. I drilled and tapped them. Installed it and it put the lid in a bind and it won't shut. I took it off and sealed the holes back. Waste of money.

I have been thinking to do this on the Yamaha FJR OEM topbox. But can't find a luggage rack. Does anybody know if there is one?
