How To Fit A Motorcycle Top Box (Givi Monolock)

I recently bought a Givi 340N (34 litre) top box for my Honda XR 150L motorcycle. As I was fitting it anyway I thought it was worth making a how-to video of how to fit one. Although this luggage uses the Givi monolock system to mount to the motorbike rack, the principle is the same for every topbox I've seen and fitted previously.

Thank You, Good video. I'm adding one of these to my son's bicycle. I already added one to my e-bike.

Not only a great video, well explained, but also what a coincidence, I just picked up my XR150L with rack, (2016) so spot on! Curiosity though, your accent sounds English, but the plate looks to be from another accent too is English (with a hint of Bristolian), but me and the bike? We are in Colombia, South America.

This helped me so much, I never knew what those clips were for and now I do. Thanks man. You made it so simple 😂

Rich hi i also have a new xr150 so im glad i found your video. Do those clamps hook on to one or both of the bars? It looks like just one. Mine only fit one bar each really. I didnt try it yet but maybe once it's clamped down it will be tight enough. I have 4 clamps. I think have also seen a steel plate used on the bottom with 4 holes so you make like a sandwich and the plate is the bottom piece of bread. Not sure if i can buy that somewhere or need to make my own.

Timely video. I am just about to fit a 26-litre Givi box to my KTM Duke 390. I have a very interesting Indian luggage rack on the bike. It can be made to sit in the conventional position or above the rear seat. It is a Zana, if you want to google it.
You needed an assistant. Almost impossible to show the process on your own whilst holding a video camera.

Thanks for that, is there a catch on the box to release it from the rack?

Hi mate, looking to attempt this on a suzuki burgman 125, the issue is there's only 2 screws to hold it. That's not going to be enough right?

I'm trying to decide between the 34l vs 30l monoblock.
What's your opinion?

This was really helpful, thanks! Now all I have to do is work out how to close the lid - mine doesn't seem to be working properly... Heigh ho...

Should've used a cover to avoid the rust.
