Training legs is a lot harder than training upper body, so it should be done for building mental fortitude as well. Never skip leg day, because that would be the beginning of the end... When you train your legs, training your upper body will feel like you deserve that. You can only progress by making yourself uncomfortable (even if just a little).

Pistol squats on the back of a moving horse builds incredible leg stability.

I totally feel you. Before I started training legs, and just train upper body front and back. I thought that was tough. Now I've been training legs, and my upper body workouts feel like a swedish massage compare to my lower body workout!

Additionally, leg training releases test & growth more than if you didn't hit legs. It's the foundation to your overall frame so don't be skipping leg day, prioritize lower body if anything!

I mostly train legs because at first I wanted to be the opposite of the big upper body small legs guys I always see. I rather have big legs smaller upper body. A balance of all muscles is most important but I still prefer legs over upper body

You're right man, Also, it helps with leg drive in cheat movements for the upper back, and rack pulls. Train legs to get a huge upper back

Doing legs, ie squats and deadlifts has revved up my fitness levels, helps me sleep better at night and enables me to take massive dumps!

Why have a big house without a strong foundation? That's the main reason to train legs in my opinion. Good video

This is 100% true. I neglected legs and built my upper body for my first year of lifting. The newbie gains came, but I was left with a weak core, a hurting back, and poor muscle endurance. Thankfully my legs do not appear small, (they're definitely weak) but I've learned that it is a *necessity* not an option. Eager to see what my body can really do now that I'm implementing full body routines and including legs.

Sound advice as always Alex.

Looking at all the comments on your videos, it's like everyone has been bullshitted by the fitness industry for years, being told slow negatives, focus on TUT and other conventional training methods, and they have finally found your channel and are now making huge gains because they are finally training how they should have been training all these years! Its incredible, Hats off to you Alex for keeping it real and finding the best methods for everyone

Man, it's awesome how Alex always preaches work capacity. After grip strength work it's the most overlooked/undervalued aspect of training. My main motivation for squats, deadlifts, etc is the intensity it provides. Also, if you want leg power/work capacity, do HILL SPRINTS. Just doing them for 20 min 2x p/wk yields HUGE results.
