Video 1 of 2 dealing with thirds and singing harmony parts. The goal here is to allow you some time to sing thirds and get the sound and feel of singing a third in your ear. Many harmony parts in songs are based on thirds and with some practice, hearing them will become increasingly easier for you.

My name is Jeff Rolka, thanks for watching! If you like this video and would like to get in touch you can do so here:

Great practice with harmonizing. Can your next video be harmonizing with thirds and fourths and sixths moving them 4 or 5 notes in a melody up and down the scale.

So basically, major 3rd harmonies are 2 notes up from the main note, and 2 notes down from the main note?

Thank you for your video!

For some reason, I keep hearing the fifth and have to go down from there to find the third even though I'm trying to focus on the tonic and go up to find it. Why do you think that is?

I want a 3rds sing along, like a sesame street kids sing along learning song. Im an adult. Maybe a series of them, increasing in difficulty. No speaking. So i cann play it on repeat all day and night. Can you do that? Thats where the moneys at. I cant find any anywhere, . Probably lots of people would like it. PLEASE. 5ths is good too
