How to setup an lcd touchscreen on the Pi zero - Portable Raspberry Pi zero

In this tutorial video, I walk you through the steps of setting up an LCD touch screen on the Raspberry Pi zero.

This LCD comes with an OS image. This video will show you how to set it all up. And i use a power bank to make it a portable Raspberry Pi zero, sort of an raspberry pi zero tablet.

Believe it or not this is the only video tutorial on here for installing a display on the zero. Thanks for this. Quick question, I've ordered my pi zero and it comes with the GPIO pins which I know are required for the display. Does the GPIO need to be soldered or do I just plug it in to the holes or something? Thanks in advance and great video!

Much cleaner without both having the pin headers, just solder straight on.

Im just starting with microcontrollers. Why did you have to connect the 40 pin AND HDMI to the display? Would it still work as a non-touch display if you only connected HDMI?

the hdmi cable doubles as a whip when you need to torture the pi into working

sukz that the neat hdmi to hdmi connector that works with the full size pi won't work here so you have to use that big cable.
