Ngl the last method is the best. I was so dumbfounded when i tried it 😂 it makes my work easier now. Usually i crushed it and for me its still slow. Now i can twice the spee. Thanks a lot!!

The last method is 10/10. I just did it and the skin peeled off in one piece. I've tried the jar method in the past. It takes a long time and it's frustrating. The cut in half method is by far superior!

The tiktok method was expanded/explained by a YouTube channel called Glenn and Friends Cooking (sorry for 'advertising' other channels on your video). He discovered that if you sever the clove where it meets the root of the garlic you can subsequently pierce and twist each clove free.

lol I had the same problem when I first tried the TikTok method too. So, I modified it slightly, and it works stupid fast.

#4 didn't work because the stem needs to be carved around, in order to free the cloves. (I saw on a different video 😅)

Put it between your palms in a sort of a "prayer" mode. Rub your hands one against the other. Et voila

I use the second punch method but not with the knife (scared of cutting). I use tenderizer/kitchen hamer or anything sturdy nearby (like a jar or something) with flat bottom to give them a firm wack.
Then cut off the hard end which simultaneously takes away the peel in one move. I also often use a fork to hold the garlic in place while cutting to avoid smelly hands. 😅

My favorite way is to slightly crush the garlic but in my fingers. And more so twisting the garlic to over torque the skin which loosens everything. You dont bruise the garlic, and it peels off pretty easily. If im doing a lot of garlic however i still use a jar and shake shake shake.

Put in rubber gloves cut end and rub between your hands
