It is a brilliant move. There is an upswelling of a particular demographic, in the past the dominant majority, who feel more and more disenfranchised. I expect Vance to address them throughout the campaign. The pendulum will swing away from the "tolerance" and social justice movements. Republicans will win riding that momentum. This is the consequence of Democrats pulling so hard to the left.
