Five people dead after car ploughs into US Christmas parade

At least five people have been killed and more than 40 injured after a car drove at high speed into a Christmas parade in the US state of Wisconsin.

Witnesses say there were 'pompoms and spilled hot chocolate everywhere' as people searched desperately for their children.

It's been reported that the suspect could have been involved in an earlier knife crime from which he was trying to escape.
