Archer was mad at the Vulcans for restricting technology while his father basically worked himself to death to create a technology that the Vulcans already mastered. It was understandable; also the last season proved most of what Archer thought correct. Vulcan government was incredibly corrupt and arrogant.

EDIT- I don't think Archer hated Vulcan people; he hated the Vulcan government. Two entirely different things.

I know this is one of your joke videos, but Archer is actually my favorite captain.

i always thought the Vulcans of that era had a smug arrogance to them if it wasn't for the emotionless state you almost think they were Romulan

Ah, Captain Archer. He took a leap for us,
hoping that the next leap would be the leap home.

This got dark. You should have mentioned he had a cute dog.

forging such close ties with the Andorians is probably what finally bullied the Vulcans into "allowing" the federation charter to be a thing, suddenly outnumbered by now two belligerent younger races who had forged extremely close ties. The Federation wouldn't have happened if Archer hadn't put the greenbloods on their heels.

Remember that he changed his mind about Vulcans. It took some time and it was never gone fully (at least as of season 4), but he trusted T'Pol with his life, made a lot of good decisions and some bad ones as well. And as you point out he couldn't rely on experience of others.
I know that hating on ENT is in fashion, but despite it's flaws I think it is worthy successor of DS9 and VOY. Especially with the latter's "plot of the week" being often more unnerving than even most boring episodes of first 2 seasons of ENT.

Yet at the end, he was counting one of those green-blooded devils as one of his closest friends. One thing I got out of this was that humans learn and many, though not all, develop beyond petty selfish views.

Captain Archer the Captain I will always happily work under.

Archer never hid his dislike of Vulcan for how they roped the U.E, but even he didn't know how corrupted they were, and he learned to trust them. Wouldn't say bigoted.

Archer was likely not the best captain, nor the 1st, but he was the most remembered for his accomplishments. He's a bigger than life character and I think 24th century history (like the glib history documentaries we got in high school classes about the founding fathers in US) are sort of the same. He's a combination of Daniel Boone, Lewis and Clark, and with brief glimpses of George Washington (If we had Romulan War, he'd probably have come fully into his own).
As for Archer's stances on Vulcans and his aid to Andorians: @Lore is right about frontier politics, the US frontiersman in the 18th and early 19th century were nominally playing both Pro-British and Pro-French sides in order to carve out a niche for the nascent United States. The settling of Ohio and its surrounding territories was a major compromise between various frontiers factions.
Archer needed Vulcan support from time to time, he also was pissed off, when the Vulcan began disarmament too as the Romulan threat grew. This sort of paralleled the British force reduction in frontier areas, while native American insurgents attempted to thwart expansion into their territory (the British would continue to push out native peoples in Canada and Australia though, so it was more punitive against US after independence to slow its expansion). The Andorians were far more militant and more willing to assist earth in War and Peace, similar to the French under its various governments.

So, I started with Enterprise. It was what brought me into Trek. I will never say that Enterprise is the best series. What I will say is that Enterprise is an outstanding gateway show for anyone who has never taken the dive into Trek. It is a big universe with passionate fans and dogmatic opinions. To me, thats why Enterprise being somewhere between our world and the more idealistic TNG era is so meaningful. These people are working hard to listen to the better angels of their nature, to be the evolved, reasonable people Gene Roddenberry envisioned. But they aren't there yet. And thats what I like about Enterprise. By starting so flawed, they have opportunities to grow. And, generally, they do.

Honestly i love archer, he’s just so optimistic but when stuff goes south he’s always up to the task, but I’ll admit his bigotry was less than desirable
