Flatbed Securing steel coils, Punjabi instructions.

Every flatbed driver or the drivers who want to start flatbed must watch this video. This video is about coil securement which every flatbed guy will eventually end up doing, and doing it the proper way is very very important. If not secured properly, the coils could kill you or someone else on the road. I tried capturing the footage of securing it and you can get a good idea about the basics of it. Incredibly dangerous way to transport coils on a flat bed (i understand this is more your countries securing procedures and not your own) I work in a Steel works in the UK that makes these coils as well, we have 2 types of coil .... Roll (just a normal coil) and Cradle (a coil packed with a reinforced hard wood cradle that is attached to the coil) only Cradle coils can be loaded onto flat beds as the cradle provides a large flat area to make contact with the flat bed and to act as a support for the coil to prevent rolling, also our cradle coils have to be positioned against each other so as well as being strapped to the trailer they are strapped to each other to make an extra strong fastening, Chains are also bad to use as not only can they fail but also damage the coils, we use synthetic slings (some are rated up to 50 tones so they are very strong, stronger than most chains) we had a driver crash a few years ago and the flat bed trailer flipped over and came to a stop on it's side, due to how we secure them every coil was still in position attached to the flatbed, this isn't an insult but I've seen so many fatal videos because of improperly secured coils and almost all are Roll coils on flat beds, idk why they haven't changed the securing procedure

First step to the punjabs. Put some work boots on, loose the sandals. You're not in India anymore, be better. Second quit leaving your arse washing bottles in the bathroom stalls. People are noticing abd are tired of it. Park in an actual parking spot or be towed. Quit throwing your trash on the ground, take it to the trash can. If you can't do the things then purchase a ticket elsewhere.

60000 pound need ...60, 000/2=30, 000/4700=.6.3 chains! So why you doing juat 3 chains? Gotta cover 50% of work load limit ma fellow driver
