I heard some rumors some years ago that zoloev and Pushkar were laughing at Devon's arms in 2012 prior to their left arm match saying that they were skinny and Pushkar told him he would let him (Devon) win one round out of courtesy... I don't remember for sure if the second part of what i said was part of the story but I for sure remembered hearing they were laughing at the size of his arms...

Ahahaha only 12 year old kids believe in this explanation. Just take the recent match. You were going to dinners, chatting with Oleg and his wife together with Jodi, and one day later, you were screaming into his face, insulting him, shouting him, bullying and disrespecting him. And the reason is "European guys behaved me bad before". Ok. I am convinced!

What a silly excuse from Devon. Firstly, the trash talk he received was very mild in comparison to the way he behaves on the table now. Secondly none of them were even remotely as high profile as he is today. The dude is literally the face of the sport. Just because they were d-bags Back in the day doesn't make it right. I know the Devon fans are going to come at me for this, but his trash talk in the last match especially went over the line and was pretty cringe to watch. Devon's armwrestling is very good in the twilight of his career, I just wish he would let it do a bit more of the talking.

Devon mixes the truth with falsehoods as usual, and like Cyplenkov says, he cherry picks the narratives that suit him the best.

As for his behavior, Devon has been stuck in two worlds --- following the goodness of his heart and prioritizing his reputation in armwrestling. As more people notice the latter, he is being forced to abandon the former for the latter. Brzenk vs Larratt KoTT was a good example of him being forced to make this choice.

the reason Devon gives for his behaviour is so childish. Yes, it sucks if people don't respect you. Taking that as justification to be an asshole yourself doesn't change the fact, you end up being an asshole.

Before I thought, that's just how Devon is as a sports person, which I found unfortunate, but you know, hard to change a character. Him saying, that he actually CHOOSES to be like this and WANTS to be that bad, just makes his way seem very evil.

So, it seems that Devon´s behaviour is mostly egoistical? It is almost a written truth that Devon is doing this for the sport. Devon himself has not said much to that extent. On the contrary, he says it is to win at all costs and that he doesn´t care about the reactions. I guess he thinks all publicity is good publicity. Anyway, I am tired of the Devon show and am taking a break from him.
