It really is sad most of what we use in various forms is farmed or produced in one place but we ship all the inputs and outputs and byproducts all over to capitalize on it and we claim this why capitilism is efficient and scalable, but in reality it is not. I'm not a socialist, if anything I'm an agnostic anarchist, but that aside basic resources and the like need to be off the capitilist market as it inflates and exponentially wastes these resources and commodities. The only reason is to generate money so this is why its a bad system for those things. In other words if I grew the wood, processed the wood and made the furniture or had a barter trade network to acheive this now we are talking efficient and scalable. Why? Because the motivation ion is not eek out money from the system. As it stands someone grows the wood it's sold, shipped and taxed several times then it's processed then marked up so that indistry makes Money as does Uncle Sam, then the processed wood is sold to other manufacturers or further processors or further refined by quality etc again tho all being exponentially taxed and margins added and bing shipped sometimes in a literal circle all over the world for this to happen.
Anyway we need to vertically integrate commodity and resources and make that network off the capitalist economy market or at least a barter trade equivalent to counter the capitalist markets
