Selene's Rocket Model Pre-processing in ANSA BETA

Selene is a refined rocket model that is currently under construction by our Rocketry Project. For our venture's realization, detailed planning and accurate analysis are necessary prerequisites.

Every step is critical in the design process. The Aerodynamics Sub-system recognizes that the pre-processing procedure of a model is paramount for CFD Analysis. The ANSA software provided by BETA-CAE is our team's preferred pre-processing tool, since it offers several options and is user-friendly.

The meshing process consists of various steps. The procedure includes dividing the model to smaller surfaces, selecting the appropriate parameters and most importantly calls for continuous experimentation. Through the meshing process the model is prepared for CFD Analysis, which will provide us with a clearer and more complete idea of Selene's expected behaviour in realistic launch conditions.
