People should listen to historians not politicians.

The fact this has to be explained over and over again still surprises me.

What he said was also true after the 70AD and 135AD uprisings. Most ancient Jews remained. Over the years most have converted to Christianity then again to Islam.
I bet that Hamas fighters have significantly more ancient Jewish DNA than Netanyahu and here lies the irony!!!!

Why was it that the exiles then had dominance over those who remained when they returned from exile?

A large numbers of the Palestinian were the Jewish tribes that eventually became muslims. This is a fact

The idea of “ancestral homeland” is absurd. Imagine the chaos if everyone demanded ownership of their “ancestral homeland”. Imagine me demanding the city of Paris because in 1700 my family helped run things there.

He deliberately doesn't say how tiny that remnant was. Less than 2% in the 1500s, around 8% in 1880 after 3 decades of zionist immigration. Even the British census of 1920 they were still only 12%. It took until 1947-48 to hit over 30%, at which point they overthrew the Palestinian govt and evicted 80% of the Arab citizens, nearly 800K which now exist in Gaza, West Bank and neighbouring countries

You see how they deceive you by not mentioning the “Ashkenazim” or Germanic ones that shouldn’t even be in this land…They are one when it suits them

This is historical context is irrelevant to ethnic cleansing and the currently ongoing genocide. It's also irrelevant to Israel's legitimacy - any people can live anywhere, but then establishing a monopoly on legitimate violence and using that violence to deny human rights - totally separate from a people simply living in a land.

Modern Israelis are Ashkenazi Jews (European), not semitic Israelites. Palestinians have never left the land.

There always were Palestinians in Palestine as well. It does NOT belong only to Jews.

The reading of the book of Nehemiah documents how the exiles were rejoined to their land along with those who remained.

A remnant is what God always leaves behind.

Judah, aka the Jews never had control of Northern Israel except perhaps as King David ruled over All Isarel. After Northern Israel rebelled against Jerusalem God divided the Nation and the sourthern Kingdom of Judah emerged with Benjamin, a large part of Levi and the Tribe of Judah. The remaining ten tribes became the Kingdom of Israel. This is spelled out in The Book of Kings and Chronicles.

According to the British, who took control over Palestine after WW1, the population of Jews in the entire area of Palestine was about 8000. Israel's population today consists almost entirely of people who have not lived there for 2000 years. That is not a myth but a fact.

Fun fact for all the leftists and Muslims: the Stele of Merneptah recorded the battles of Pharoah Merneptah who reigned over Egypt in the early 1200’s BC. It explicitly mentions the Kingdom of Israel.
