Week 35 of Soaping101 and we are making 3 castile soap projects. This one is how to make milk shampoo.

I would suggest that you try a little on a test strand to see if it works well for your hair type. Yes, you can use pure castile alone as a shampoo.

Afternoon wondering if preservatives can be added to this to shampoo to extend shelf life

Great recipe. All one needs to do is put a small amount in a bottle like she did & refrigerate the rest. Maybe put all your perishable hair, face & body products in a bin w/cover, keeps smell any fridge smells out.

You state to use within a week and discard the remainder due to lack of preservative. Could it be possible to add a preservative in order to be able to give this a longer shelf life? That would be for my own use, though.

Grapefruit is a natural preservative. There are others but i can't think of them off the top of my head.

Is this shampoo good for all types of hair? From thin/blonde European type hair to courser/dark African type hair? Is the pure castile an option for shampoo or should it be diluted with other ingredients?

Do you think it's possible to use grated soap with water (set aside overnight to form a gel) instead of liquid soap? I'm not sure I can make the liquid soap as you did...

Coconut milk is a key element. Without it, this recipe will not work.

I added coconut oilinsteadof oliveoilbecause i was unsureof heaviness, i added aloe vera and vitamin c....i definitely would use olive oil for the next time, is this a bad mix?

Hi there, I was wondering if I would like to making liquid fresh or powdered goat's milk instead coconut milk.
But If I would like to cook them together in crock pot this is possible will preserve milk or not? I am trying to make it one. but I am afraid about rancid ;( . Thank you very much :)
