We've been living on a sailboat for 15 years traveling around the place. We are not rich and need to work online to survive. Starlink is frigin amazing!!!! We're currently in the remote Solomon Islands in the south Pacific. The speed and service is nuts. The hardware cost $120 USD. We're getting 100 Mbps. How is that even technically possible? It's hard to get your head around. We used to fully stress about whether the next island would have a cell tower and whether it would be working. No stress anymore. Thank you Starlink!!!!

Just received my package yesterday, in my rural french hamlet. Got connected to optical fiber 2 months ago, but it cut soon after for technical issues yet unresolved after 45 days, leaving us without internet in an area with little to no mobile network. So I stopped getting mad at the problem, and turned towards the obvious solution : Starlink.
Quickly ordered, quickly unpacked and installed on my roof, super quickly configured, and I get a steady 200Mbps down/40Mbps up, without any cut.
Simply magical.

I've been watching starlink launches since they began, it's quite something to actually use them now, and watch your content about Space, through Space :) This is now real, and it's crazy efficient, beyond being an amazing sight everytime a Falcon 9 launches and lands.
And thanks for your coverage, you're doing an amazing job keeping us informed and excited !!

I'm in Ohio, USA and routinely get 70M download and 29M upload speeds. Off peak, it's not unusual to be above 125M down.
Before Starlink, we were on cellular Internet and we were lucky exceed 1M download.
Love us some Starlink!

As I watch this I thought to myself, this has to be the most documented production of a space vehicle in the history of human space flight. Its crazy how much insight civilians can gain into this amazing process. It sure helps take the mystery out of it, but at the same time reveals the true mastery of engineering .

Thank you, Marcus.
This makes up for my childhood solitude regarding Apollo.
Other than my grandma, in 1969, no one I knew was as enthusiastic as me.
Until your channel came along.
Well done!

Connected via Starlink since November 2021. Gosford NSW. Just tested download speed at 163 mbps but it can vary. Quite dramatically. Sometimes as low as 50 mbps. Original round dish. Was on the beta initially and would have fairly regular dropouts back then. Since the beta ended I only have dropouts when the weather is super heavy and even then, only through the very worst part of a storm. Otherwise, love it, I highly recommend.

My mum uses starlink. She's about 5km inland from Broke (near Singleton) in NSW. She started off with the satellite internet service provided by the NBN. You'll definitely be totally shocked to find out that it was basically useless. She switched over to Starlink and hasn't looked back.

I visted her for a few days a couple of weeks ago and was playing COD mobile using her wifi. Consistently had a ping around 30ms +/- 5ms. Super impressive.

The mere fact that channels like this one having a difficult time getting all the space news from one week into one video.... what a epic problem to have these days.
I really love that the fact that we get so much space news and with that the amazing progress that is being made almost everyday.

I'm located in the Midwest of the US and my Starlink service hovers about 100 Mbps at about 30 ms ping. No comparison to anything else that is available to me. Had viasat for years and it's a joke. Thanks for all the hard work, Marcus!

In the UK here my Starlink gets 160 to 260 mbs down, 20mbs up, latency ~25ms. For context when I first got it BT would only provide 2mbs over the phone line although in March it increased to 30mbs. Starlink is a life changer - and I live 3 miles from the nearest town of about 75, 000 people so hardly remote.

13:27 the reason Amazon is using ULA to bring the Kuiper launch earlier is because in order to keep the license for the frequency they must put the satellites into orbit before a certain date, that’s why it’s only 2, just enough to keep the license.

SpaceX could have built Starbase in a manner that limited information but they are an extremely transparent company. Also so confident that they recently offered technical assistance with parachute engineering with Boeing. To me this indicates extreme capability and confidence. The fact that the water deluge system was truly ready to implement at the time of the last test firing is a strong signal that they will hit all their marks in the future.

4:32 another difference I noticed in these shots....the cloud of dust hangs around forever, the steam/water vapor on the other hand looks like it disperses relatively quickly.

Another informative episode Marcus. You are a stable of my Saturday night viewing.

I love the coverage from the past week and I watch faithfully every Saturday. I was thinking it would be nice to have a similar look at the week ahead, so I don't miss important launches or events as they occur. I know launch dates are never a guarantee, and no one knows what Space X will do until it's happening, but a summary of upcoming scheduled events would be nice. The lunar lander dates in this video, for instance, are great to watch out for. Thanks for all you do.

Marcus, what an action-packed week of space adventures. Luckily I'm on holidays and viewed live-strems of many events, including the test-fire with deluge - brilliant! Thanks as ever, Eamon

I go back to Sputnik days, and how excited the news community got when a rocket launched. That was because many of them didn’t make it far off the pad, like the first Vanguard and more than a few Atlases. The sensations when astronauts first flew. How things have changed! Now it’s hard to keep up with who’s launching what where.

Great vid. Your efforts are much appreciated.

I am located near Tampa Florida. I ordered Starlink on 2-11-2021. I got the kit one year and four months later on 6-25-2022.
So I have been using the system for a little over a year now, and I am very pleased with the performance.
My download speeds vary from a low of 50 Mb/S to a high of around 300 Mb/s. Average is around 150 Mb/s
This part of Florida gets a lot of rain in the summer months, but so far only really heavy rain storms have affected the service.
