first time ever using spray paint on wood..very pleased with results. i sanded all the old paint off of the end table first. rustoleum 2x is primer and paint in one can. i put 2 coats on and it looks smooth and even as if it was sprayed with a gun not blotchy uneven looking like everything else i have sprayed with a can. do not spray outside with wind! you will get the can to close to your project and it will run easily..found out hard way..but i just wiped the run with a paper towel and lightly coated the area again and it left no evidence of my mistake..NO BRUSH MARKS .DURABLE . LOTS OF COLORS. for wood this is the only choice if you want a quality finish

I have been painting my mdf kitchen cabinets with painters touch gloss. I used a matt primer from Rustoleum for the prep work and sanded between coats. The paint had come out great. Just worried it may scratch easily. Do you have any suggestion of a top coat? Someone suggested polyutherane on the gloss?

How to Unclog the can itself? The first can got clogged 1/4 use. Tried another can. That one clogged in seconds! I did shake for over 2 minutes each before using. Any suggestions?

Hi there, I'm planning on using this on product on my patio set, which is metal with some rust spots on it. Should I use a different, rust-covering/resistant primer first, or is this product good on it's own?

I find I often have problems with this paint. After shaking for a considerable length of time, paint comes out frothy. Does not give smooth finish, even with new cans.

WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! If the instructions say “repaint within 1 Hour OR 24/36 Hours”. THEY REALLY MEAN IT! If you repaint in say 12 or 18 hours, the damn paint will BUBBLE UP, ruining your whole paint job and requiring you to start over!!! I DO usually read instructions, but they have made the text font size so damn small on these cans now that I can’t even read the instructions with my reading glasses! You need a magnifying glass! That is just WRONG because it means you also can’t read any safety instructions! This is product misinformation because this subtle fact which applies only to some of these spray paints needs to have a great big separate WARNING label about this nefarious “feature”. This is an area where the consumer protection agency needs to lay down some law. Only a stupid manufacture would make the text so small, but as Ron White says, “You can’t fix stupid”, and so we have to legislate more rules, even though I’m against over regulation.

This product cannot be touched up. No matter how much you prep a scratch or flaw or mistake, no matter what you do and how much you clean the area, the new coat will react to the edges of the previous coat of the same product as if you are applying paint remover to the border of the repair area. I had to resand and reprep my entire project to apply a new coat. I will never buy this product again. Avoid it. It's not worth it. Any project is going to require at least two coats. So just use primer and then top coat. This stuff is garbage.
