That’s why I ended up opening my own business. Everybody wanted to support me, but no one wanted me for the skills I learned while serving. It didn’t translate for them.

I finished my 4 year tour of duty in 1994 and had the exact same experience and problem finding work, what bothers me today is that veterans are still experiencing this problem 30 years later, shameful that our country hasn’t caught on to fixing this problem

I trained in the Military what I knew outside jobs were around.
Supplies, Admit, transportation.

Maybe become a combat sports coach or become a dojo master. Or go hunting, chopping wood or run your own outdoors shop? Train people in survival training. These are the closest things I can think of that would come closest to a Civilian life inspired by the Military.

Veterans bring valuable skills, but they’re not always clearly understood in the civilian world. At The Eleventh, we help bridge that gap.

Brave warriors thank you all for risking your lives for buddies and everyone's back home

Nowadays, people think they live purely in the hury up and wait mentality. This leads to poor work ethic in the workforce prior to marines or lesser active jobs in the military. Thus, employers need to see the drive in their guys. Which thankfully most people do if they served with honor and purpose... Thank you to all who have served and are still...

From senior enlisted (in the infantry, mind you) to corporate executive… Yeah, the military is garbage for those getting out, but hopefully you’ve learned skills that make you self sufficient, and thus, grow to be who and what you want to be without dependency on government assistance and programs for transitioning service members 🤷🏻‍♂️
