Hello, it's been 1.5 years since I made my original video.

This video will sum up my experience with the backlight bleed.

It’s depressing that we have to resort to fixing these issues ourselves. For years I had LCD/LED monitors and never had any bleed, since then, nearly every new one looks like crap from the factory.

On a positive note, this helped my Samsung G5 monitor and worked well, so thank you for the video!

i fixed my bleed by very softly brushing on the screen with my index finger from the middle towards the edge where the bleed was.
The softer i did it the more it helped ..
i only have glow now on my legion 5 pro.. Great Succes :D

This wont work most of the time because plastic just springs back to it's original shape. Manufacturers really need to get their shit together and design things in a way that the display panel is not being pressed against. I can't believe we are still having to deal with this. I'm returning a monitor tomorrow because of this nonsense.

It’s pretty sad when you buy an LG 86 inch nanocell TV and you have back light bleed on something that cost well over $3000

YT is a golden place where you get cheats like this to keep in mind if you want a older piece of gear longer instead of sucking up all the big numbers an feeling gross lol

Its a great tip! Very thankful <3
Now, we need to try to do this method on frame less panel. Cheers!

I thought about just making a small clamp out of two pieces of plastic and a nut and bolt. It would look ugly, but you could dial in just the right amount of pressure and leave it overnight. Then take it off and hopefully there shape will be retained. Probably, wouldn't be a bad idea to turn brightness up as high as possible to heat up the display before you do this.

Thanks for video, I have ips glow and I'm kinda relieved you said its normal. I know the difference between bleed and glow, you only really notice it in black scenes at certain veiwing angles if I'm playing a game generally you can't see it. I'm not new to monitors but I have had my pc hooked up to an LG oled for the past 2 years so I guess I just have to get back used to a monitor now 🤪

I just wanted to highlight that this was my first attempt and it really seems to be getting darker as I keep pressing on it. Do you have any idea of how many days doing this is necessary until it gets really better? I will try to document this by taking pictures and then post it on YouTube someday to see if it really works.

If the light changes when you move, then it’s ips glow and not bleed.

BB happens to me when everytime I clean my room because I use to move them by holding both corners of the monitor. To avoid from it dont touch the screen even if single tap. Always use the stand of the monitor if your about to move them.

Hello, I have a screen without frame from the acer company and the model type is xb273ugs, and when I turn off the lights in the room and test the screen, I see a glow from the sides with a color close to orange. Is this something normal and if it is not normal, tell me I want a treatment for it and thank you

Hey dude, iam still sitting here with the problem while having a Samung Odyssey G7 ( its a curved panel.) I also tried rubbing etc, but that didnt make any improvements. However, yesterday i found out that the problem is lying in the frame of the monitor. The Back side isn´t properly adjusted to the screen, so i got 2 brackets on it which hold the frame together and since then no BLB anymore. But i don´t know if itll last or if itll come back after a hwile when i get rid of them? You think the frame will adapt to the pressure the 2 brackets are doing on the panel?
