One of my favorite songs. Go, Bonnie! You are simply awesome - singing AND strumming

My mama played this song when I was young, I'm 39 now and the lyrics have taken on an even more meaningful value even off it's already pivitol view point years ago. Beautiful artist with a rockstar heart...this song says it all

It's one those songs you don't listen to for a while, but get instantly hooked when you listen to it again...then proceed to put it on repeat for the next week or so, while you keep finding yourself reciting the lyrics involuntarily while having a conversation.

She Ms. Bonnie Raitt performed this at the Lucille Hart Dinner in Portland, back in (I think 1993, if my memory serves me correctly) and my late husband Mike and I attended the Lucille Hart Dinner That Year!!! Yes!!! Bless Saint Bonnie, for Her Fearlessness!!! Thank You Bonnie!!! But that is not enough!!! Your song touched my heart, and made me cry, and there are not a lot of talented musician's that can do that!!! Bless You!!! Bless You!!! Bless You!!! Jesus made himself to be meek and to serve, and he loved all people!!! My late husband Mike enjoyed nearly 30 years of partnership, and I became a widower at age 58 last year on July 2, 20211, after Mike passed at age 83. Finally, When Oregon legalized Gay Marriage, Mike and I Married!!! that was 9 years ago!!!

You got to know... I'm not just some guy...that is a voice of an Angel...! That voice is like a combination of Fergie and Jesus !!

For those wondering, the musicians are lead and backing vocalist-slide guitarist-acoustic guitarist-electric guitarist Bonnie Raitt; backing vocalists David Lasley, Harry Bowens, and Sweet Pea Atkinson; acoustic guitarist Stephen Bruton; bassist James Hutchinson; drummers Curt Bisquera and Ricky Fataar; percussionist Debra Dobkin; and keyboardist Scott Thurston.

One of the last memories I have with my father is when he asked me to put a Bonnie Rait record on the turntable. I'll never forget him saying, "that ole gal can sing, boy!"

Best proof that "hanging prepositions" are just fine! Thanks Bonnie!

In my younger years, I got paid to play this for others. I'm really glad I did it. I hope you can appreciate it. That vinal was really heavy..

It’s weird but I basically love the pre-chorus. The verse and chorus are fine, but that translation pre-chorus is amazing

This song is exactly what I was thinking yesterday when my Carolina Panthers lost to the DEFENDING Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs by only 2 points (Carolina Panthers:31 - Kansas City Chiefs:33)... Even though we lost... We gave you guys something to think and talk about next time you guys face us... I'm really proud of my Carolina Panthers! #KeepPounding

This would be a good song to perform at a wedding. I've been hearing this song since the latter half of the 1990s when I was in the latter half of my 20s.

Bonnie, talk about about the gossip people who never keep silence by don’t minding their own business, this is a nice moral song !

To my buddy Sammy, my bowling partner, I hear the song and I think of you. What a great wonderful friend you were to me. I think about you often. May you rest in peace! Someday we will ball another game together
