Hello Stéphanie and Valéry! What an enjoyable well produced episode. We look forward to seeing more. We have carried out a major refit of our Wauquiez Pretorien. During the repower, we cut out the fibreglassed in thru-holes of the cockpit drains. We used a slighty larger diameter circular saw. The thru-holes were in terrible condition with corrosion observed when cross-cut. From research, it appears these cockpit thru-holes are a different type/model to the rest of the Pretorien thru-holes. You will find a very very long thread on replacing seacocks and methods to deal with the glassed-in thru holes on the Wauquiez group. Best regards, Kylie and Julian SV Bravo.

It looks like you are very lucky with the condition of the boat! Often it seems that boats left neglected for long time suffer the most from water leaks inside and/or deck rot. I believe that interior work takes longer and is harder to do than hull or deck work. Looking forward to following your progress!

Hello! I have a Centurion 42 built in 1991. I have done a pretty extensive refit on my boat. Good luck on your new boat. We love our Wauquiez. Make sure to join the owners group. Wealth of info there! I’ll be following your journey with interest.
My two kids are taking French in high school right now! 😊

New subscriber here----and this journey looks to have all the excitement and challenges of a really good new life for a tired sailing vessel. She deserves to continue on and I eagerly await future episodes. I see #2 just waiting so I'm off to see if my instincts are correct. Bon voyage!

I started watching this channel with your most recent video and ended here, at the beginning. Knowing your prior experience, with your first boat, completes the picture, and now I look forward to the next episode.

I trust you will enjoy the refit! We acquired a Wauquiez 41 a couple of years ago- and the build is impressive!

Congratulations, with regard to the thru-hulls Henri Wauquiez used a very high-quality bronze (some refer to it as a bearing bronze) that is very thick walled and outside a very high electrolysis environment they should be find. There is a fellow that worked for Henri in the 70's and 80's and maybe 90's 00's that is a wealth of information on these boats. I will look for his contact info and forward. Good luck, John
