I guess it's now open season on Russian dams. Resurrect the bouncing bomb.

Are you people seriously playing this game? We don’t know who did this??? This “both sides” bullcrap needs to stop!

Infuriating to see some media report “Kyiv and Moscow accusing each other” of ruining the Kakhovka dam. It puts facts and propaganda on equal footing. Ukraine is facing a huge humanitarian and environmental crisis. Ignoring this fact means playing Russia’s “not all obvious” game.

They were raising the water level to give most effective use of the flood coming out of it. Or does that not seems obvious to anyone else ?

When are the media going to stop giving Russian propaganda any breath of credibility?

Can not believe that man said that this could have been an accident... How ignorant must one be to believe that a dam can be blown up by accident. I'm speechless.

It's completely obvious who was responsible for blowing the dam - it's breached on the Russian occupied (left) side of the river. Ukraine couldn't even access the area that's been destroyed, because the road on the right side was broken since Russia retreated last year.

The Kakhovka reservoir holds about 510 million gallons of water when full. For reference, the hoover Dam holds about 657 million gallons when full

Russia had control of the dam and planted explosives when they were forced to leave Kherson.
They shut the gate to rise water levels above stream which locals and measuring equipment reported the day before they blew it to cause maximum damage.
Ukrainians wouldn't have been able to get to the dam to do that.

Russia is outta dam control, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

Ukraine can't win this war effectively without taking the war to Moscow. I'm disappointed that the West is placing such restrictions on Ukraine. Ukraine is forced to fight only a defensive war because of this. How can any victory let alone a swift one be possible?

I’m curious. The other 2 videos I watched on this topic, say this happened at 2am. It’s clearly daylight in the video of the “explosion”. I tried finding sources for what time this happened, but could not. Granted, I didn’t spent much time on it either.

Finally, an honest assessment as to why the Ukrainians haven't started the counter offensive.

We hold Chinese 🇨🇳 Xi Jinping accountable for damages caused by the Russian invasion
because of his *"no limits" support* for Putin.

The explosive must have been placed inside, you wouldn't destroy it to that scale with an externally dropped bomb or rocket

LISTEN UP now. Washington Post, December 29th 2022:
"(Genera)Kovalchuk considered flooding the river.
The Ukrainians, he said, even conducted a test strike with a HIMARS launcher on one of the floodgates at the Nova Kakhovka dam, making three holes in the metal to see if the Dnieper’s water could be raised enough to stymie Russian crossings but not flood nearby villages.
The test was a success, Kovalchuk said, but the step remained a last resort. He held off."
