For those who have tried most of these options, what I have yet to try which I've seen emphasized on other similar vids is the 3 to 4-hour WAIT BEFORE taking off the band & letting the hair down. The key is to allow the hair to fully dry because it dries inthe stretched state rather then letting it down still damp which leads to the revert

I literally sweat at the scalp and my hair is thick, 4c past my shoulders. The plastic cap would only make it worse. The idea is great though but I would have to use a hooded dryer at some point or it would take 24 hrs for my hair to dry. On the shorter lengths I think it is a good idea.
