Those trousers with the adorable line of buttons in the pockets are to die for!
I think that pixie and the new layered bob haircuts are gorgeously young and chic.
Gray hair may look boring but once you get a pixie, that’s a big and incredibly flattering look.
And something granny always said; “wear red lipstick and you’ll never look old”!
Beautiful video Marie-Anne. Sharing right away!

A former co-worker had the best way of getting people to view her as younger, and it does not cost a thing. She would tell people she is older than her actual age by about 10 to 15yrs. 😉

That was fun but I prefer looking chic and elegant than younger ❤

Love the video. Lots of good ideas. I just turned 50, so they are especially helpful. For shorter hair, I am not totally onboard. If one has healthy hair, and longer hair suits her face shape, there is no reason to cut it short after 50.

I love the way you effortlessly tie scarves. I love them but can never make them look quite right.

I totally am on board with the spirit of “inattendu, ” as it adds a note of interest without looking contrived. For example, I add red kitten heels to an outfit of black jeans and a black turtleneck sweater. (Maybe a red bag instead or as well.) But I still feel that there’s a very fine line between looking youthful and looking as if you tried too hard to look “young” — a very important distinction. I’ll stick to my 80/20 formula of classics/trends.

I love your idea of contrasting the striped trousers with a feminine shoe and I prefer the brown sunglasses. I would not choose those belts, but love the pink and orange handbags. I'm 67 and not ready to go grey yet, but I see some women and they look fabulous. Thanks for being so enthusiastic in your presentations.

I let my grey grow out and it turned out to be salt and pepper. I love it!

Youthful enthusiasm in our style makes us 'seem' younger but not really looking younger than we are. Just more 'youthful', energetic. I'm finding that what worked at 50 and 60 no longer works at 70+. A Chanel style jacket makes me look dated now (old). Looking 'dated' is very bad. I have a pearl bracelet similar to yours but it doesn't have the same effect as it did at 60. I think you will understand what I mean in about 10 years.😅 I was lucky to find a very long vintage trench coat a few months ago at a consignment shop. It's fabulous. I love the green one you have and almost bought it last year until I saw that it has to be hand washed. So, I am working on finding what works better for me now at 70+ and getting rid of things that haven't made me seem as youthful as they did 10 years ago. I bought a statement belt a couple of months ago. An edgy, contemporary haircut works well for me. I just wanted to point out for women my age, we can't assume that what works for women 50-60 will work for us---but for some reason we are grouped with them in the 'over 50' advice.

I would prefer the brown Dolce and Gabbana glasses.
Remind me of Jackie O.

Silk scarves are probably my favorite accessory category. I’ve worn them for 40 years with some outfits, emulating some beautiful French colleagues I knew early in my career. A very young person recently told me “they’re out of style” and I’m sure that’s true for her age group. But, in my opinion, if many French women are wearing them, they’re still in style. They are classic! Plus, I can’t wear a wool or cashmere sweater without one to protect my hyper-sensitive neck skin, so I would wear them anyway.

Good afternoon Maire-Anne! I appreciate all of your advice on looking youthful. Love your green trench coat! Would you consider doing a video highlighting it and the various colors to wear with the green color? Thank you! 🌞💕

I like the orange bag- beautiful. Not crazy about the pink with the bright red. I agree that a lot of accessories you can wear at age 60 are a lot trickier 8- 10 years later. I find this with scarves as I used to love them, but now I often think that they age me.
