Zip ties as snow chains - quick, cheap and easy, but are they any good?
In winter we are strive for more traction and there are many types of aids. From bulky metal snow chains, snow socks and sprays. This solution always caught my eye.
I think it's definitely worthwhile provided you apply it correctly.

These have one major use case for everyone. By chance got these a few days before a blizzard being curious. Long story short, I ended up in the woods behind a car stuck on an incline (no snow tires). Other cars turning up behind me. I remembered the straps, gave them to the stuck car owner who got up the hill, and we could all move on!

I honestly just wanted to know it would work. My car has been stuck in a snow drift in my backyard since fall and it has bald tires and now to change them out i need to get the car to somehow move out of the snow on absolutely bald tires lol

Honestly this is impressive cuz it didnt snap from spinning the wheels, the zip tie ones all snap. These look like a more pliable material and the locking mechanism is stronger than the zip tie. I used the rubber ratchet strap on cleats to get a F150 out from buried, but it broke 2 of 6 straps and some of the locking ratchet mechanisms were toast after

Probably better if you use more than four per tire.

Up here where I live, (northern Canada), anyone crazy enough to believe and rely on ridiculous plastic zip ties would be dead in no time! Come on !
First of all, that ain't real snowy conditions! We learn to drive with 16'' of snow on the highway! We also learn very young that the most important part of your car is what keeps on the road, also keeping you alive : TIRES! Get some good winter tires! Also, do as I do with my Mustang, store your RWDrive car inside during winter time, and get yourself a 4WD truck, or at least a front wheel drive car! RWD will get you nowhere in winter wonderland!
Anyways, you obvioulsy don't live in a cold ass climate...you would already know all this..
