A Memphis staple, Girlee's served its last meal today. The soul food restaurant is shutting down its kitchen after 40 years in the bluff city.

Omg, when I say this place is filled with SOUL. The spirit, the atmosphere, and the food is so pure. My favorite go to place. This place will be truly missed and I wish I was there to get my last meal😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

I loved going there getting the chitlins, greens and dressing. The caramel cake and chocolate cake were hands down the best ever. They were always so friendly. They will truly be missed.
