Limewashing your walls can feel incredibly overwhelming and intimidating but believe it or not, it’s nearly impossible to mess it up. As long you properly prime your walls and use the right tools, like a box brush, a fine quality lime paint paint really does all the work. The intent is to create movement and texture so imperfections are welcome and the results are just stunning. So much richness and depth, I’m obsessed! 🤍

A few tips:

• STIR: The pigment settles so it’s important to stir it well, before and even during application.
• COLOR: Increase movement by layering two strengths of the same color. Try a darker strength for your first coat and a lighter or standard strength for the second coat.
• PATIENCE: Give each coat plenty of time to dry. You’ll notice that the limewash lightens significantly and all those crazy brushmarks have become more subtle.
• TRUST THE PROCESS: Don’t panic and just go for it!

should you use a sealer if the limewash is applied in the bathroom?
