I really want the panel de pon/Puzzle league series to be revived and i would want it to feature the fairy characters and be released in the west with the fairy characters, that wound be amazing but i kinda don't see that happening.

One note about Rythem Heaven:
"Brace Yourself Games" is releasing "Rift of the necrodancer" this year. The game seems partially inspired by RH.
It's possible Nintendo is giving that title some breathing room as a show of good faith for BYG (great partnership making Cadence of Hyrule)
I fully believe that a new RH is ready to go, but I think they're saving it for 2025 (here's hoping!)

On most fronts, 2023 was a pretty exciting year for lots of franchises. Hope they keep it up! Maybe not this year since the Switch is probably on its home stretch, but hopefully they’re able to transfer this momentum into the next console. The Switch has 100% had the most abundant “holy shit” moments in Nintendo’s history, I don’t want them to get complacent.

The Switch generation as a whole is a fascinating one to think about when it comes to the status of Nintendo's IPs, due to the sheer amount of IPs that have been utilised. From the likes of Panel De Pon and Joy Mech Fight getting worldwide releases with the Switch Online to IPs like Another Code, F-Zero and Endless Ocean getting new entries.

0:46 - So a new one I assume is in the works to cover 2024 then? Cool.

1:28 - Yeah, no nuance is required; F-Zero 99 is a brand new game. It may be stylised around the original SNES F-Zero but it does so much unique to it. It's also really fun.

2:10 - Unfortunately, I do feel this could be the case. Nintendo's concerns about real world conflicts (despite how several wars are typically going on all the time, they just don't get reported on) may lead them to not think this series is worth it, especially combined with low sales. I do wonder if they may try their hand at Batallion Wars again though.

2:44 - I certainly cheered at seeing Another Code come back. I think a lot could be said about this; for starters, does this mean Hotel Dusk could make a return as well? Could we eventually see the third crossover game between Another Code and Hotel Dusk that was planned? Also, the old developers of this game (Cing) worked on this game, as their staff joined Arc System Works, whom was the developers.

3:36 - This also marks 1-2 Switch as the only Switch introduced Nintendo IP to so far be a series. Strange that. Would certainly be funny to see 'Horse' as a playable character in the next smash.

5:14 - Agreed; a massive shame. Dillon's Rolling Western is easily one of my favourite Nintendo IPs but I have hope for the future. I expect a lot of Vanpool members have since joined HAL and there is always the chance, if HAL wants a break from non-stop Kirby, that they could work on a new Dillon's Rolling Western. Heck, we got a new Mario & Luigi in 2024, which I never expected to see after Alpha Dream closed.

6:30 - Well I had assumed this meant Mario & Luigi would never come back and Paper Mario would take it's old spot of Mario's turn based RPG series but now I don't know what the plan is.

6:59 - The absence of Rhythm Heaven is an odd one. Quite surprising we got two Wario Ware's back-to-back with no Rhythm Heaven, especially when the Switch feels like such a good fit for the system.

7:58 - Given Nintendo's odd fascination with Urban Champion, I wouldn't be surprised.
