Looks great! I like that its short, linear and doesnt involve shooty stabby murder or upgrade trees. Looks very polished too.
Loved the footage of the guy on a treadmill when you talked about it being a walking sim haha

So I got to try a 1 hr demo (pretty much all of Ch 1) on PS5. It's a great game, but I agree with you on the need for the quicker movement option. Especially in some of the long hallways or even stairs you deal with.

I enjoyed watching a full gameplay video without commentary. It made for a great, looong movie. I don't need to buy/play it now.

The first thing I noticed was the character holding a beer bottle. Somehow I just don't see space exploration going to the effort to send a carbonated bottle of beer to another planet. Like, maybe come up with some container that looks remotely plausible?

That might seem like a minor detail, but if you're making a "working Joe" character and cannot think of anything outside of the cliché of drinking a beer, then the writing needs work.

The gameplay of this 'game' is so inconsequential that the type of play wasn't mentioned until 3 minutes into a 4 minute review. Nah, not down for that.

Uh, Quicktime events. 20 years of game design and we still have to bother with that shit. Seriously - it is the white flag of every designer. The moment a quicktime event occurs, it is evidence for the designer realizing his game was simply not gamy enough to justify selling it between actual games, and therefore he went with the element which requires zero creativity, offers no immersion at all and is as much fun as the type writer courses in early educational games. If such designers would be kept away from budgets, the world would be a better place.

I have to ask what the point of a walking sim is? If all you have is a linear set of actions then it would be better suited as a film

This game was one of the worst experiences of the whole year. I’d rather stream Gollum for a week. That game is also bad, but you can find the fun in the same way you watch a train wreck. Fort Solis is pretentious, uninteresting and tremendously boring.

The fact this review talks about graphics and atmosphere for 2/3rds of its runtime says a lot

I would prefer to play kojima walking simulator than this one. At least, Kojima spend a lot of time on the story and graphics.
