I Know Who Holds Tomorrow - The Petersens (LIVE)

Upon losing his wife at a young age, Ira Stanphill wrote "I Know Who Holds Tomorrow" expressing a prayer of surrender to his Savior under circumstances he didn't understand. God doesn't promise that walking with him will be easy, but what he does promise is that every day of our lives is in his hands and we can rest in the hope of his Son, Jesus Christ, who paid the punishment for our sins so that we can have hope and eternity with him!

In this season of uncertainty we are so thankful for a loving Savior who gladly takes our worries and bears our burdens so that we can walk one day at a time with eternity in our hearts. He holds tomorrow, and he holds each day in his hands ❤️ . Happy Easter. He is risen indeed!

►I Know Who Holds Tomorrow lyrics:
I don't know about tomorrow
I just live from day to day
And I don't borrow from the sunshine
For its skies may turn to gray

And I don't worry o'er the future
For I know what Jesus said
And today I'll walk beside Him
For He knows what lies ahead

Many things about tomorrow
I don't seem to understand
But I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who holds my hand

Well, every step is getting brighter
As the golden stairs I climb
And every burden's getting lighter
And every cloud is silver lined

Oh, there the sun is always shining
And there no tear will dim the eye
At the ending of the rainbow
Where the mountains touch the sky

Many things about tomorrow
I don't seem to understand
But I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who holds my hand

Yes, I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who holds my hand

*LYRICS - I Know Who Holds Tomorrow*

I don't know about tomorrow

And I don't worry o'er the future
For I know what Jesus said
And today I'll walk beside Him

But I know who holds tomorrow

Yes I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who holds my hand

Im 67 years old, played bluegrass music, a trucker, raised a family, lost my family to a tragedy, kept the faith but lost my musical soul. Then I heard this. Everything blended and the lower growl of the dobro player and then his upper melody. How you voices blended so gloriously. Thank you!

My husband was on hospice 6 wks after his battle with cancer ended & he went to be His Lord & Savior 04/16/22. He was the most loving man & he made everyone happy. So now he is very much missed, but happy he is free of cancer. I was his nurse & wife for only a short time as we met late in life, & married on 02/14/21. We met in Jan 2019. It still seems as if I was with him 33+years even though it was only 3.3 years. In my sadness, I was crying one night & asking God, “why am I still here?” I cried myself to sleep like a baby though I am 78 yrs old. The next morning when I awakened this song, “I don’t Know about Tomorrow “, but I know Who holds my hand, was going through my mind over & over, & I had not heard that song in probably 30 years! I truly believe God gave it to me to help me face tomorrow alone without my beloved Richard Cooper, because now Jesus is still holding my hand. Linda McGuire-Cooper💕

I'm sitting here holding my hubby's hand while he waits to enter eternity with Jesus and have listened to this song maybe 6 times. I needed this song so bad! Praise God for this music

It was beautiful to listen to this old time favourite, it was sung so nicely. I found it striking to see everyone dressed simply and modestly.
When I heard this clip I cried.

Mama Petersen in back, calmly holding down the bass, like "Yeah. I did this."

Hat's off to the REAL hero here.

When I was 11 my family moved to Mongolia, and this was a song they would sing at the church we went to. After only a couple months my family left the country suddenly and we ended up back in the US with no home, no job, and (for me) a million mixed-up emotions. I held onto this song though. All I could remember was the chorus but I would sing it to myself in my head whenever I cried.
I'm 24 now and this is the first time I've heard it since those days in Mongolia. It's been a crazy life. I'm so glad I still know who holds tomorrow and holds my hand.

Thank you for a beautiful redition of the song!

Glory to God,
Tonight as I lay here in bed extremely sick.. I have no fear for the Lord is with me.
When God Almighty is in your heart..there is no pain, there is no fear for he walks with me everyday of my life.
🤲🙏🏿😔

Mum used to sing this in church as a solo back in the 60's. She had a beautiful voice. She's still with us. She's 95 now. God's been very gracious to her. Bless his holy name.

The writer of this song would have been proud to have heard this fine group sing his song. This is the way the song should be done. Simply, timing, harmonies, dynamics, are spot on. Good job!

My Auntie Ni just took her last breath. She loved the Lord and was my favorite Auntie. My daddy is the last one left at 84. She had asked me to sing this song for her funeral. Whew... gonna be tough not to bawl.😪😔 Such a beautiful piece of music❤ for such a beautiful woman. Naomi was 94😣😢😭

Of all the songs by Petersens, I return to this one probably the most often.

Those Katie longer notes are just amazing.
