Shenzhen-based robotics company "LEJUROBOT" has officially launched its first humanoid robot, named "KUAVO," featuring the open-source HarmonyOS. KUAVO, also known as "Kua Fu" in Chinese, is a large-sized, high-dynamic humanoid robot weighing approximately 45kg, equipped with 26 degrees of freedom. It can perform complex terrain autonomous walking, sustained continuous jumping, and other challenging movements. Specifically, KUAVO boasts a top walking speed of 4.6km/h, with rapid consecutive jumps reaching heights exceeding 20cm, making it the first domestically developed open-source HarmonyOS humanoid robot capable of jumping and adapting to various terrains.
LEJUROBOT CEO, Chang Lin, stated that as the supply chain and technology continue to mature, the cost of humanoid robot components continues to decrease. The emergence of large-scale models further advances the level of robot intelligence. This signifies that humanoid robots are on the verge of widespread commercial application, and KUAVO will be initially applied in fields such as education, medical logistics, and home services. Currently, KUAVO has received dozens of orders, primarily for use in scientific research and education, as well as special operations. LEJUROBOT plans to commence deliveries by the end of the year. This marks the acceleration of humanoid robots integrating into various industries, promising a future filled with endless possibilities.
