Please be cautious about some plants that, once established, can be nearly impossible to remove. This includes wisteria, mint, English ivy, agapanthus... This is just a catalogue of things I've experienced first-hand. I'm sure there are others.

I keep following the rules that come with the plant to not plant them close together and now I have a bunch of gaps. Should I ignore this 12 inch rule most of these plants have on their instructions?
