I have my practical test tomorrow and have been watching so many driving videos 😂 while I am a fairly confident driver, I want to make sure that nothing catches me out! There are no tests in my area until February!!
Your videos have been super helpful over the past few months, even just for my normal lessons so I can be double sure of everything.
Thanks for offering this free, great content to people!

I've seen a few situations where people have stopped short of the stop line at narrow bridges and the induction loop can't detect that there's a big queue of traffic waiting so everyone has to sit and wait until the lead car moves up.

Yep 👍 my advanced riding instructor said ‘they don’t just use the paint because they’ve got it left’ 😄

4:50 In the Netherlands we also don't have left arrows for the roundabouts. Open Google Maps and have a look, for instance, at the A9 - A200 interchange west of Amsterdam.

Other sources say a 1 in 4 gradient means 1m up for 4m travelled along the slope (not horizontally).
Making the angle equal to arcsin(1/4) instead of arctan(1/4).
So who knows, I'll see if the highway code says.

I am from main land Europe and I've seen a roundabout where in the left lane the arrow says ahead and doesn't show that you can turn left. (Obviously we drive on the ride side of the road.)

I assume the reason they do that is because legally when you install a sign or paint road markings they apply for the first junction. So if you were to put a left arrow before a roundabout that would mean you can/must go left into the first junction, which obviously would be the wrong way on the roundabout.

I think it is similar to how sometimes when you cross a dual carriageway you would see no left turn sign, but that means don't turn into the first road and go the wrong way. But the left turn is in fact permitted.

Not sure if you have that in the UK.

Thanks for the video! The most interesting thing for me were the dragon teeth, we don't have them where I live. The closest thing we have to teeth is a give way line, haha.

my instructor told me all of those, the induction loop i messed up once when learning as i had stopped slightly over the line(this was early in learning to drive) after sitting there for about 15 minutes i was told to jump the light as i was unable to reverse due to traffic behind me

Virtually nobody ever mentions the "Bifurcation Arrow" which is surely the biggest road marking out there if you discount continuous lines. I find these arrows extremely useful. Most people say "The what?" if you mention them.

i always thought that the dragons teeth indicated that there was a speed camera, scared the shit out of me all the time ;(

I failed my test today but had no dash cam to argue my case bus lane was closed for you to use after the restriction time, so I was in right hand lane an someone went by in left lane so was told I made them under take even thou i saw the sign before the round about an as I did my center mirror left mirror I clicked the time an it was 2 minutes past the time your ok to be in the bus lane so I was right where I was but tryed to argue it out but dash cam so no way to prove it. Then to be told they call that examiner Dale the fail 😭 NOT A GOOD DAY

those lines for the traffic lights are good, but people that flash their lights to the extreme, to get them to change does not work. Try to understand this folks. lol

Is it legal to sleep in the car in a side road? Or in residential areas?

Regards the _Induction loops_ at traffic signals; Is there any information on how one can modify a bicycle such that these loops will detect them in the same way as a car? We have several defective sets of lights in my area that do not detect bicycles at all, even with powerful Neodymium magnets fitted beneath the bottom bracket. 🚥🚵⏳😐
