I enjoyed those punches Rika gave to Satoko, after seeing all the sh*t she did this was satisfying, all the beating Rika received from her, the development of Satoko's evil form, Rika's disembowelment...

Again, that's just apart of growing up. Sometimes you don't have the time and the day to play . . . and also; No matter how many times she denies it. She really was a demon . . . The people behind this season really turned the tables to make us hate Satoko . . . hell, that stupid face she made while Rika burned in that house, really wanted me to bash her face in with that bat. And a few other characters who turned bad . . . like that cop, who refused keiichi to save her in that moment. . . I mean literally . . . he really just stood outside of that house, shouting BS. And Rika was stabbed . . . jeez what a lame excuse for a cop . . .

Shion was right. Satoko is a cursed little girl. Spent Eons torturing her "friend"... instead of just using those infinite lives to MEMORIZE EVERY TEST THEY COULDVE GIVEN HER in school.

Every mistep, every mistake, she could've avoided with that power. Fail a test? memorize the answers, off yourself, DO IT AGAIN. She had the ULTIMATE cheat. Not skilled? FAKE IT with accomplishments at a young age, be a 8 year old Prodigy. Not elegant? practice until you act the part!

The WORLD abuses everyone who is not "desirable" School is just a scaled-down version of the real world. Is she going to pull a reset every time her boss scolds her? or every time she drops her phone? Trauma is no excuse for killing your friends and neighbors over and over.

She deserved a bigger ass-kicking than Rika gave her, imo. millions of years memorizing every timeline...knowing her "friends" every weakness and EXPLOITING THEM. But wont memorize a dang test. She's rabid and broken.

Not going to lie Satoko deserves this beating after how she killed Rika on the roof of the house, it amazes me how quickly this series went from cute to sadistic gore at the drop of a hat. It’s scary that after they die and wake up again they have no recognition of dying in the first place.

Satoko used to be my favourite character in Higurashi but thanks to Sotsu, they've ruined any character development she had and I'm so upset about that.

literally my friendship with my friend is like this, we're both similar but we wish for different paths in life, she desperately wished to leave the school for a better life, and i just lied saying i wanted the same but i really grew up with the school we were in. She was a really smart student, compared to me, who could barely make it to the honor list every quarter. We had a really fucked up friend group and we were the closest to each other. A really important project came up for our whole class to do and i failed to help with some main parts, she told me i was useless and we slowly drifted apart, she started hanging out with more smarter and better people, leaving me and our shitty friendgroup. It really hurted because i changed my whole self just to try and make her dream come true

Yeah... I really hate how Satoko was characterized in Sotsu. Partially this is due to concept, but honestly the execution of it was terrible as well... Especially coming from the VN where you get glimpses of how harsh it was for Rika, Satako really was like 'Yeah I'm just going to ignore all of that' while getting the full context of what happened in that 100 years...

And sure Satako's motivation is more than just not wanting to study but come on man, Satako's reactions to this entire situation was way out of proportion, especially if you factor in her previous characterization...

Though Rika being determined to go the St. Lucia, the very same place where Shion desperately wanted to frickin escape from, is one of the most out of character bullshittery from both Shion and Rika.

Its amazing how everyone seems to come out of this with oh satoko is doing this cause she doesnt want to study.

Its like they have never actually watched the series and have just seen these clips. Even without the drama between them the important context is satoko is being decieved and manipulated by an evil god.

As for them rika didnt do anything to deserve to die obviously but she absolutely was pretty cruel to satoko and was not acting like a best friend she grew up with it all. Which is the catalyst for eau to prey on her sadness and despair.
