Could be because of all the bridezilla content I've seen, but I loved the fact that when that man fell in front of the bridal party table, the bride's first reaction was to check if he was okay, and when he apologized she told him not to be silly. Like, that's just a good person right there.

My SIL hates wedding food too!! She decided for her wedding to hire a local Mexican Restaurant to do all her food. It was the most amazing wedding food!!! It was a wonderful idea. Support for local owned family restaurant, and the best food in town for her wedding. 🖤🥰

we got married on Valentine’s Day in a court house with only my aunt who has been my ride or die since the day we met . It was the best thing I could’ve done for myself! So peaceful and happy ❤ these make me feel good about our decision 😂

My daughter got married at her university. We rented one of their halls and used their caterer at $12 per plate buffet style. The food was delicious, and people ate to their hearts content. Our son got married at the same place a few years later and it was $15 per plate buffet style and everyone ate til the hearts content. You can have a beautiful amazing wedding/reception without selling a kidney.

Unfortunately my mother in law tried to do the same thing. She wouldn’t tell anyone what she was wearing and showed up in a short, sparkling, silver tasseled dress. I was upset at first but the looks and wtf’s she was getting from everyone (her son included) made me feel better. So happy your locks stopped roasting on an open fire. That shirt is my dream shirt and I hope she survived. Happy holidays❤

The worst best man speech I ever heard was at my close friend's wedding. The night before, the groom and best man had a huge argument because the best man wanted to make a joke about the groom and a cat he had as a teenager. The joke was "hahaha, I caught him having sex with the cat". The groom, obviously, was very upset about this, especially as it was not true (and also not funny). Groom actually said "he's my best friend, why does he want to say these things about me on the best day of my life? Especially in front of both of our families?" Best Man eventually agreed that he wouldn't say it, then proceeded to drink far too much that night. Next day, he did his speech, tried to be as funny as he could (hard when you have the charisma of a wet flannel), then ended it with "*bride's name, groom's name*, I love you both so much, even if you *points at groom* fiddle with cats". No one laughed, we were all just like "what the hell?" He was a menace for the rest of the day, and the couple haven't spoken to him since. Sometimes, no speech is definitely better than a bad one!

We had an hour for cocktails before dinner but I was asked by a few good friends if we could extend it (it was overlooking the ocean at sunset on a beautiful day) so we did. To say that I was a bit nervous about the inebriation level I knew some of the guests could get to is an understatement. The venue was so good that they began the appetizer service as soon as we made our entrance then had the first dances while they were serving the salads, then immediately served the main course, then dancing. This was obviously not their first rodeo and just went into plan B (they did tell me what they could do when I’d asked for the extra hour and I gratefully agreed). They definitely deserve their 5 stars!

One of the best decisions of my life was keeping the wedding small and simple. The reception was 3 days before the wedding and the wedding itself was very small. No drama, no insanity, no disasters. Just me and my husband having a great day.

Its been two years this past October and people still talk about our food and wedding❤❤ thank goodness! My dad refused every place i sent him to for catering and finally said no. Nobody else is catering! I will take care of this 😂 dad and i planned the entire wedding with my husband! People still ask my dad to cater their weddings and parties and he tells them YOU CANT AFFORD ME 🤣 i love you dad thank you for a wonderful wedding and delicious food!
